Ooops - October is almost over and I have not even talked about some of the highlights of the past weeks. One was our participation at the Concordia summit – I got to speak at a great panel with the terrific journalist and political columnist Joe Klein and the extraordinary Hon Jane Harmon among other panelists.
Topic concentrated on youth and how to tackle youth unemployment. Here is a link to the conversation if you are interested.
I also got the chance to talk to Claudia Chan about HP’s efforts in the social and environmental space which gave me the opportunity to share some of our work in Kenya and for example talk about Project Moonshot. I also spoke to her about 21st century skills and why it is important to constantly invest in yourself – finally we discussed that this is the time for women to step up to seize the opportunities out there. Now more than ever do they have the chance to capitalize on their skills – this is a time of global collaboration, communication, influencing across borders and frontiers and women are very good at that.
